Maverick Viñales riding the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP had a brilliant ride on a Sunday afternoon at the Mogul TT Assen, the Spaniard secured first place ahead of second place Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team) and pole leader Fabio Quartararo (Petronas Yamaha SRT) who finished 3rd and Dovizioso coming in 4th.
Fan favourite Valentino Rossi crashed out on lap five after a coming together with Nakagami. Rossi later admitted his mistake and now his teammate Vinales is being tipped to take over the lead rider role at Yamaha after his impressive season thus far.
