I’ve been riding bikes for 45 yrs and I’ve always gone out with the attitude that I’m invisible, I always assume that no one can see me and then I’m ready for them. Yes I do wear PPE but I also frequently wear an open face helmet so it’s a compromise.
My wife worked as a personal injury claims handler for 25 yrs dealing with bike accidents and you’ll never get her on a bike, not even as a pillion.
Yep I regularly get asked why I ride even though I have dealt with so many bike crashes. I suppose this is why I adopt a very defensive style but also hyper aware of hazards developing too. Cheers
