Part of my riding ritual is to discover places yet to be readily frequented by the biking community and to seek out eateries that can rustle up a mean breakfast with a decent mug of Java or Rosie Lea…depending on your persuasion.
A few years ago I made it my mission to find out about all the biker cafes in the Uk and had visited a fair few of them too. The story was usually the same though. Decent food and prices however the commercial business suffered during the week and in the winter time too.
After that I started to ride off the beaten track and was surprised to find many more cafes that were literally in the middle of nowhere but which catered to a different type of clientele.
So my question today, is which is the very beat that you’ve been to and why?
I have my favourites and I must say I prefer to eat and slurp my tea when it’s usually quiet. The cafes that hold bike nights are great of course but it’s a bit of a mish mash sometimes so I do not religiously attend them.
So for now whilst I tuck into my scrambled egg on toast with a side of sausage, I’m starting to think of how many I could visit in one day or a 24hr period? Perhaps that will be my next rising challenge. What will your be?
