Mash Motorcycles Founder Dies!

Mash Motorcycles founder FRÉDÉRIC FOURGEAUD has died after a bizarre incident at his workshop over the last weekend.

In a life full of motorcycle racing from an early age and passion for all things motorcycling, he eventually started Mash Motorcycles in 2007 working very closely with the manufacturers in China.

Mash Motorcycles is essentially what I liken to a European design house in that the design, R&D is based in Europe but the manufacturing is in China and motorcycles are imported into the domestic market.

He was also in charge at SIMA (Société d’Importation de Motos et d’Accessoires) which is responsible for oversight of importing motorcycles and bicycles into France.

‘President of the Sima (Société d’Importation de Motos et d’Accessoires) since 2006 and creator of Mash Motorcycles in 2012, Frédéric brutally left us on Saturday in the late afternoon following a mechanical accident in his workshop.’

‘We extend our deepest condolences to his sons, Jules and Hugues, his family, his loved ones and all the people who were able to cross the path of this passionate and true man.’

Alledgedly he was working in his workshop on a racing car when a tyre exploded whilst being inflated thus causing the fatality. However the exact nature of the injury and subsequent cause is yet to be revealed.
