The and eagerly awaited launch of the updated big adventure bike from BMW Motorrad is upon us…well soonish, and it couldn’t come quick enough really.
BMW have upped the engine to 1300cc which doesn’t seem like a lot and questions have been raised what is the point of an even bigger engine size or marginal gains in torque and horsepower as well as all the other tech too?
It was speculated during early spy photos that the 1300cc block is really there to keep the GS relevant for future emissions standards whilst being able to eek out some extra ponies to that added fun.
No doubt the boffins at BMW Motorrad will be producing another fine example for the big ADV class of bikes, but put a note in the diary…September 28th, where all details and specs will be revealed…unless we get to hear about them beforehand of course through our underground network of informants…the biking gofers if you will. The bike however is still slated for a 2024 release…let’s just hope it’s an early year and not have any delays…
